Oppo has lifted the veil on two critical features of its upcoming flagship, the Find X8 Ultra, confirming groundbreaking charging capabilities and a top-tier IP69 water resistance rating. The announcement solidifies the device’s position as a contender in the ultra-competitive premium smartphone market, promising to blend speed, durability, and cutting-edge innovation.
Charging Capabilities That Redefine Speed
The Find X8 Ultra will support 100W wired SuperVOOC charging, a technology Oppo has refined over multiple generations. According to the company, this system can power up the device’s 5,500mAh battery from 0% to 100% in just 25 minutes. Wireless charging hasn’t been overlooked either, with 50W AirVOOC support enabling a full charge in under 45 minutes. Oppo emphasized that these speeds don’t compromise battery longevity, thanks to AI-driven charging algorithms that optimize power flow and reduce wear over time.
“Our goal is to eliminate charging anxiety entirely,” said Li Fang, Oppo’s Head of Product Development. “With the Find X8 Ultra, users can spend less time tethered to an outlet and more time enjoying what the device offers.”
